Volunteering at GEALC

Outreach tutor volunteers

The Outreach Tutor Program is a flexible program that aims to meet the individual needs of the student. It provides students who cannot come to class with access to quality, affordable educational opportunities in the areas of English language, literacy and numeracy. Volunteer Outreach tutors meet regularly with the student at a mutually agreeable time and venue. Each lesson is for approximately one hour, once per week.

All prospective volunteer Outreach tutors undergo training before they are matched with a student.
